    Ilfracombe Arts College as well as the Junior and Infant schools will all be closed on Wednesday 30th November 2011 due to industrial action.
    All three of Ilfracombe's schools will be closed this Wednesday 30th November 2011 due to a public sector strike.     A fire broke out and destroyed 75% of Parracombe School yesterday morning.
    A fire broke out at Parracombe school yesterday morning at around 6.45am. Fire appliances from Lynton and Combe Martin were first to respond to the outbreak, but on arrival fire crews reported the school well alight and crews from Barnstaple and Ilfracombe responded to the call for back-up.  Around 30 firefighters battled the blaze throughout the morning, with 2 main jets and 1 hosereel jet being used to extinguish the fire.
