Back to school shopping in Ilfracombe High Street!

Is it too early to start thinking about the kids going back to school?
-
Not long now until the new term starts at Ilfracombe Arts College
I think a lot of exhausted Ilfracombe parents would answer a big "NO" to that question-especially with the terrible weather we've been having this summer!
But before you automatically head into Barnstaple to get your kids kitted out for the start of term, why not take a look at what our local high street has to offer?
Supporting Ilfracombe High Street is more important than ever in the current credit crunch climate. The plans for parking meters along the high street are threatening to make business even harder for many of our local traders.
So be sure to take advantage of the free parking whilst we've still got it to nip into Pedlars, Excel Embroidery or In the Pink to see a friendly face and buy uniforms for all our local schools.
Pick up a pair of school shoes at Shoe Zone, then head along the High Street to Terry's Sports for their P.E kit and trainers.
Avoid the crowds in Barnstaple and pick up your pens, pencils and paper at Dickens, which is is well equipped for all your back to school stationery needs. The Factory Shop is also worth a look, and stocks stationery and school bags at really reasonable prices.
So get your shopping done early, put your feet up, pop the kettle on and relax knowing you're all sorted for the start of term when you'll finally have some time to yourself again!
Have I forgotten anywhere? Where do you think is the best place to buy school uniforms in town?

I agree devonmaid, but sometimes it is cheaper to shop online or go to tescos and it is the credit crunch for buyers as well as sellers!

ReportI think people should do more shopping in the high street and not always go up to Tesco or go into Barnstaple, we are the first to complain when our town is full of empty shops, so let's use them!
