The magnificent dragon's head
The ship is actually the Matthew of Bristol, but has been transformed into the Dawn Treader with a majestic dragon's head and tail to promote the movie which opens in cinemas in 2D and 3D on the 10th December 2010.
A visitor to the town told Ilfracombe People "I love the Narnia stories and when I saw the boat in Ilfracombe Harbour I was really impressed and excited. It was such a lovely surprise and has really made my day-I felt like I'd been transported into the novel!"
The crew are on their way to the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth for a Narnia weekend which starts on the 28th August next week.
