I saw the empty park and ride bus blocking up traffic in the high street and seafront about 3 times today. And to think that funding for this project is the reason that we had the parking meters installed when all the other local towns got away with not having them. Makes my blood boil!

I have to admit I was really against the parking meters when they first began but now I think they make it easier to find a space and you do get half an hour free. The only annoying thing is if you're waiting to pay in a shop and there's a big queue and you realise that you've only got a couple of minutes left on your ticket can be quite frustrating. Also it's annoying having to get a ticket from the machine when it's raining if you just quickly want to pop in a shop for five minutes. But in general, it hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be.
