No council newsletters since last spring, no news at all from the town council since January. The council forum becalmed. No newsletters from Transform since Aug 10 or minutes of meetings since July 11. No news from Ilfracombe Street Reps since October 11. No news from Greener Ilfracombe since May 10. The only evidence on-line that Ilfracombe's leaders still have a pulse is the 2012 tourist guide. I might have to get up from this screen to find out what is being discussed if this goes on!

Simple, Ilfracombe's "leaders" do not have a pulse; in fact, town councillors in Ilfracombe West were co-opted onto the Town Council by their friends and associates.

Time for Ilfracombe People to ask each of the councillors to say what they feel they have achieved in the last year and what they hope to achieve this year. It is not the case that I think they have done nothing (although maybe this is the case) just that nothing is being communicated to me through paperwork on my doormat or through any of the many on-line channels. We can't all get to the meetings, so they should at least operate with a veneer of democracy and publish minutes.

LIke most Councils once elected all electorates are forgotten. I will wait until the next election then I will stand again. UKIP was unsuccessful in the county elections but may have more impact on the local election.
