At least two cars were damaged in the area of Harbour Amusements / Take Thyme during the hours of darkness last night (Sunday) causing at least £750 worth of damage.. The damage bears the trade mark of the person who attacked my car 2 years ago that cost over £1000 to repair. This time they may have made a mistake though - there is a possibility that they have left some forensic evidence. The net may be closing in on the culprit.

The town is suffering from increased amounts of this type of crime and the CCTV camera coverage is worse than useless.

Whatever has gone wrong with Ilfracombe? 16 years ago when we moved here this sort of thing was a rare occurence, now it is becoming the norm. It is time that something was done about it.

Where are the town councillors now? We need secure parking for residents that does not cost the earth, we need cameras that work and that are manned, we need increased patrols by real policemen and women with real powers - we need to show these out of control "children" that it is WRONG to do this sort of thing and when caught there will be consequences for their actions.
