Would anybody be interested in weekly/monthy regular car boot sale in Ilfracombe? We have a few in the summer and TLC are good for organising stalls/sales but i happened to come accross a group on facebook 'items for sale in Ilfracombe' which is VERY popular. If there was a suitable venue and sellers paid a fee per car/table to cover costs could it be a success? I have a loft full of stuff to get rid of but cant face giving to charity shop for free.

I have recently thought that the former bingo hall next to whispers might be a good venue for an indoor market hall for small businesses & periodic boot sale. I would also suspect that a lot of businesses on the high street have old stock that could be put to good use for local charitable purposes. I myself have a lot of clutter that I would be willing to put towards a local cause & thought it might be a good idea to open up some of the empty shops for the 6 weeks of the summer raising money for some specific small projects. If the community got together each year we could see the projects delivered each year which might encourage more people to donate as you truly see where your donations are going & it's local.

Bicclescombe Park Open Day on the 7th May will include a table top sale. The event is from 11am to 4pm, so you don't have to be an early riser & the recent Easter Egg Hunt on 20th April attracted over 1000 visitors....the envy of any car boot sale!
