I'm afraid this will be for adults and meetings will be during the school day somewhere around 11am (ish). Will hopefully know more next week about details.

If this goes well, I will put forward the suggestion for a kids club, with hopefully a time to suit all.

Sounds fun, I love reading and have been considering joining a book group. During the school day sounds like a great way to relax and get some adult conversation while the kids are at school!

I just wanted to check that nobody had got confused when they saw our new Friends Group starting soon, thinking it was a Book group! Yep, know about friends of Ilfracombe Library, will be attending the meeting on Wednesday, the book club I mentioned previously was to see what interest (if any) for a club during school hours. I understand that the Library does have a book club at full capacity, if this is not the case, would you mind noting details of meeting times for anyone else interested. i.e., the other people that have responded to this discussion. Should anyone else be interested in the Friends of Ilfracombe Library, the meeting will be taking place in Ilfracombe Library on Wednesday 2nd February at 11am. All welcome (I think)

You're right, the current book clubs are full, but we have several people on a waiting list for if anyone starts a new one, so it's a good idea! When you call in for the friends meeting, if you like you can leave us your details and we can contact the others and let them know to get in touch with you - we can also give you the list of book group titles you can order free of charge. Look forward to seeing you then!

Many thanks, see you Wednesday, looking forward to hopefully raising awareness of our town library and its many benefits it has to offer. Lets get the communiity into the 21st century and bring back the benefits of picking up a book and entering the world of ones imagination.
