Coombe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park

The overflow car park is in a hilly field opposite the attraction, you could end up a few hundred meters away from the attraction and on a grassy hill, so bare this in mind if you are coming with a pregnant wife, young children who need push chairs, or infirm elderly relative. Navigating the hilly terrain isn't much better once you are inside the attraction area. On the plus side, the interesting hilly terrain, makes you feel that you are surrounded by nature. The seating is a bit restricted outside the eating areas, but you should eventually get something if you hang around. The price is reasonable for this kind of attraction, which has the makings of a very unique and fun day out. One big disadvantage is that the food outlets didn't take card, but you can get cash back where you purchase the tickets. Suitable for young children? The dinosaurs are very realistic looking, and completely scared my two year old son, as did the mummy in the Egyptian section. You have to be fairly sensitive to what your young children can and can't take. In parts you can see animals wandering freely such as wallabies and the butterflies flying around in the butterfly enclosure. There were opportunities to have a photo being kissed by a sea lion but again that was on a cash only basis, we were surprised that we couldn't get a photo taken and then pay for it in the gift shop by card. There is a very good selection of animals to see here, which you wouldn't necessarily get to see at either Bristol or Paignton zoo (unless you went to both zoos). I was surprised to see Wallabies, Pelicans and Raccoons and Wolves, and birds of prey and otters (which normally again you would have to usually pay to see at a separate day out such as the Otter Sanctuary and the alike). This is where there is real value of money at this day out, in that it is kind of several mini theme parks in one.

    Wildlife Park

We went at easter and the park was under construction so we didn't get to see it in its glory, but we were told that there will be a soft play area for the kids and a new cafe up and running by the summer. The park is mostly outside and be prepared for excercise! The park is hilly so wear comfy shoes. There's loads to do, reasonably priced food, lots of animal interaction and the sealion show was ace!

    Poor state of repair

We went to Combe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaur Park last year and was not that impressed, a number of the exhibits were in a poor state of repair. It is a shame because initially was quite good. Time for the owners to invest in some maintenance.

    Rooooooooarrrr!

This is a great place to take the family, it's a bit pricey and most of it is outdoor so be prepared if it's raining or cold! The sealion show is amazing and definately the best ive seen in the uk. Oh and the marmosets are so so cute and they love the light on your phone so give it a try lol!

    Pricey but well worth it!

A lot of people moan about how much it costs to get in to the Wildlife park, but if you take into account everything that's on offer, it's actually really good value. There are so many animals to see, including wolves and the famous wolfman and as the other reviews say there are opportunities for the kids to interact with the animals as well. Be warned-the Dinosaurs are very realistic!Kids tend to either love them or burst into tears!

    Fantastic family fun!

My son loves this place!! Its all we hear about for weeks after. Its North Devons only zoo - and you can call it that as there is a large range of wild animals; LIONS, wallabies, wolves, loads of types of monkey, meerkat, birds of prey and my favourite - the sealions. They are very highly trained and put on a spectacular show that takes your breath away. For an additional cost you can even swim alongside them. Fast food is available and fun rides as well as giant interactive dinosaurs dotted around! This really is a top class family fun park - 10/10!

    A great day out!

When you first arrive, the main entrance is impressively lively. There are parrots flying around, spitting dinosaurs, monkeys running around and a baby wallaby in a little play pen! There is a wide selection of food avaliable throughout the park and the service is always with a smile. There are many opportunities for the children to interact with the animals, like the lemur experience and kissing the sealions, also the train ride is not to be missed as long as you don''t mind getting wet! The park is not only fun, but educational and a really great day out!

    Go there!

Entry costs alot but value on a dry day for a whole day's entertainment with more than enough to see and do. Very hilly and lots of walking so take comfy shoes, and a man to push your baby buggy. Check animal feeding times (hands on) and shows. Restaurant isnt too expensive and Ive always enjoyed the food. Warn the kids that the dinos arent real! You wont be disappointed after your visit. Google it!
