Love your Library! National Libraries Day is on Saturday 4th February so show your support for your local library in Ilfracombe on this national day celebrating the importance of libraries.

Celebrate National Libraries Day at Ilfracombe Library on Saturday 4th February 2012.
National Libraries Day is a day of celebrating libraries and highlighting their place at the heart of local communities taking place across the UK. Devon Libraries aim to help people of all ages with their reading, learning and information interests. National Libraries Day is an opportunity for you to visit your local library, claim your free membership and join in with what is happening to celebrate Devon's libraries on February 4th.
Call in to Ilfracombe Library anytime up to and including Saturday 4th February with a copy of your favourite book or browse the shelves there for an old favourite. You can then have your picture taken with your novel to be part of a "Love Libraries" exhibition which will be displayed in the library.
A special craft session to mark the occasion will be taking place at Ilfracombe Library on Saturday 4th February from 9.30am until 12.30pm. Drop in to this free event during the morning to make a bookmark based on your favourite book and the librarians will laminate them for you to take home as a memento.
Braunton Library are also having a make your own bookmark craft afternoon on Friday 3rd February from 2pm until 4pm, and at Barnstaple Library you can take part in their Literary Quiz. Call into the library to collect your quiz sheet with a chance to win book token prizes. Barnstaple Library will also be holding a grand sale of children's books from 10am until 2pm on Saturday 4th February.
So if you're not a library member, take this opportunity to join up and make the most of what your local library has to offer.
