I fully recommend Larkstone, situated at the base of Hilsborough the perfect place for dog walkers. Larkstone allows dogs inside the establishment and has lots of space outside. They are fully licenced and a great place to stop for a bit of lunch or sunset dinner while admiring the views and sunset.

The Thatch you say? Wonderful somewhere I will be able to enjoy my meal without having someones else's stinking dog begging for food and sniffing around at my legs. I particulary enjoy it when they have finished wiping there bottom with there tongue and then come and lick me. Or perhaps see another dog and want to fight it or worse all very condusive to enjoying your meal out.
Thanks for the warning about other places that consider dogs and food an hygenic mix, however I will say the Hele Billys is not so bad as dogs are not allowed in the restaurant area for obvious reasons.
    From a considerate dog owner.
Ye Ye I know it's not you it's the other ones, the ones who don't pick up after there dog the ones who let there dogs attack children " it's not me it's the few spoiling it for the many" bla bla bla.

Yeah Adele's cafe was our choice of breakfast for every day of our holidays in Ilfacombe this year. They even have their own resident dog called Ted who is a lovely animal and just loves a nice fuss. My niece loved him :)

    Don't forget The Landmark!
The Rendezvous Cafe welcomes all well behaved owners and their dogs :)

Dogs are allowed indoors (hurrah for rainy days), at the table at the end of the bar plus there is outdoor space on the back terrace (with the amazing views), or out the front on the lawn!

There is also a bowl of fresh water out for dogs that are taking their owners out for lunch, or even if they are just passing after a day at the beach!
If they are lucky enough, on Sundays the craft stall owners will usually have a doggy treat or two stashed in their pockets ready to welcome their canine friends!
